Facilities

At Palheiro we are constantly looking to improve our facilities and to maintain our renowned welcoming atmosphere. The last major improvements to be completed were the extension of the Clubhouse and surrounding areas, and the change of the golf course from a Par 71 to a Par 72 in March 2003. A significant investment also went into replacing all course signage, which looks fantastic!

Palheiro Golf offers the following facilities:

  • PGA Golf Professional and team

  • Hire clubs
  • Electric Buggies and hand-trolleys for hire
  • Private function / dining area
  • Half-way house
  • Restaurant (run by the Casa Velha do Palheiro)

The stylish Clubhouse is in the traditional Madeiran style using local stone, red tiling and marble quarried from the Portuguese mainland.

It is open throughout the year and includes a well-equipped Pro Shop, buggy hire and the highly regarded Palheiro Golf Clubhouse Restaurant.

The Clubhouse lies below the 18th green, sharing with it spectacular views over the bay of Funchal.
