Welcome to Palheiro Golf's Academy section. As the Director of Golf I would like to give you a brief overview describing how we feel our PGA trained staff can make your golf game more fun and enjoyable. In simplistic terms golf is simply the ability to control the club face at the point of impact. If you do this correctly and consistently you will create ball control. Once ball control is achieved to an adequate level the player can then focus their mind on the art of scoring, getting the ball into the hole in the fewest strokes possible. Understanding the ball flight laws (Why the ball goes in the direction it does) will form the basis of your learning. Armed with this knowledge you will be able to understand your own faults but more importantly know how to self correct them when the Professional is not with you.
